Vegas

Before we got to Vegas, we decided to stop in Cedar City and look around. As a lot of you know, I used to go to SUU (Southern Utah University) which is located in Cedar City, so I had a couple of places I wanted to show Jared. One place that I am particularly fond of is (are?) the mountains! I love the mountains. I used to go up there all the time to take pictures, walk around, and just enjoy the scenery and get away for a bit.

Happy

Isn't it so pretty? I can't handle it sometimes. And we forgot to get a picture of the red mountains. But they were all around us in these pictures, I promise.

After arriving in Vegas, we got settled in, ate some dinner, and then headed out at night to see the Bellagio Fountains and Conservatory. Here are our beautiful faces, waiting for the fountains to start up:

The view...

Jared waiting...

And it begins.

The next night we headed off to see the Excalibur show -- Tournament of Kings.

Our competitors across the way...

Angry Jared.

They first served tomato soup and soda/drinks, and then chicken/brocolli/potato wedges later. And some yummy apple-pastry type dessert. YUM. And without utensils, to boot.

This is when the guy came out and told us no cameras were allowed. Goodbye, camera.

It was a really great show! Our 'knight' was the Dragon Knight. In other words: we cheered for the villain. I felt bad rooting for the evil guy sometimes, I have to admit. He would kill people and then lick their blood off his sword and stuff. Nasty. But it was still a good time. :)

The next day, before heading home, we stopped by at the New York, New York hotel and rode the rollercoaster there. It was a grand old time! We got free pictures for being in a group of four. (Jared's brother Matt and sister Denise rode with us too. Fun.)

Then it was time to drive home. And I took a picture of a street that is dedicated to my Mom. (Because she is great, and I'm very sure that is named after her. How could it not be?)

On the drive home, we stopped at Grafton. It's a little ghost town about 45 minutes off of the freeway by Toquerville. I've been there a few times, but I've only seen it at night time and it's always been pretty spooky because of that. We got there while it was still light outside, though, and I realized how gorgeous the area is! We didn't get any pictures of the actual ghost town (maybe some other day) but I did quickly take this picture from the road nearby. It's such a pretty area. Oh manny man man.

And that concludes our trip! It was sooo much fun. I have to thank Jared's parents for a lot of the things we got to do and food we were able to eat. They didn't let us starve down there, that's for sure. So, a big thank you! for that. :)
