walking up that frozen trail, all along the mountain side with you

Jared is great and writes songs about me and other things in life. But sometimes he just covers songs by other people, changing a lyric or two to make it apply to me/us. It's cute and fun and splendid and magicalful! Listen to his rendition of Brown Eyed Girl on the sidebar of our blog! I'm loving it. You can look up the lyrics if you want to figure out the changes he made.

Quite a bit has been going on with us lately, but not a lot at the same time. We were able to go and do a session at the Salt Lake City temple this last Wednesday. It was really beautiful and I loved everything about it. When we got home, we heard the sad news that Grandpa Trexler had passed away that morning. It's been hard to have to say goodbye to him, but we know that we will see him again, and that he is in a beautiful place where he is with his wife and family who passed before him. I don't think he would have it any other way! He'll be remembered as the kind, loving, and funny man that he was and still is.

It was a beautiful funeral. We will miss him.

Other than that, the only news we have is this Wednesday, Jared's brother, Matthew, is heading to the MTC. He'll be serving in the Tampa, Florida Spanish-speaking mission. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself! I can tell he will be a great missionary.
