Past February

Jared has been working very hard on his demo album ever since we got married (in fact, I think he started a few months before we even got married.) This all came about when he discovered the magical powers of the iMac (GarageBand) and its music-making abilities. All of his hard work has finally been compiled into a complete demo album of 15 songs, only one of which is a cover song -- the rest are all originals! I designed a full cover booklet thingamajig to make it an official album-like album! We are pretty proud of our efforts, I must say.

On February 6th, we had a really fun demo release show where Jared drummed and played the guitar a bit. We had yummy food and lots of laughs, and of course, great music! Unfortunately, I can't find my [photo] camera that I used to record him playing the drums to some Regina songs, which was one of my favorite parts of the whole night! When I find it, I will post it up here. But for now, I've compiled some of the songs I was able to record on our video camera.

Pretty impressive, right?

If any of you are interested, we're selling the demo album for $10. It includes the demo album (deluxe edition, with the pretty album cover w/ full lyrics inside and photography by yours truly) AND a bonus CD of about 8-9 songs, one of which was "written" by me, titled Kenya (named after the dog Kenya, not the country! Although, it doesn't have any lyrics, so I'm not sure it really matters either way.) It's what all the cool kids will be listening to in a year's time - just you wait and see.

We're currently working on getting all of the album art printed out and all of the CDs burned, so it may take another week before we can get them sent out -- but I will make sure to email you when we have delivered your CD. In other news, Jared and I are both employed now -- at the same place -- doing the same thing -- with the same hours! Awesomeness! I'm loving it. We're basically doing telemarketing but working together makes it all worthwhile.
