I was tagged by Casey! So here goes...
8 things I like a whole lot
1. You could say I like my husband a whole lot!
2. Being outdoors.
3. Family and friends.
4. Anything art-related. Photography, music, film, etc.
5. Horses, cows, chickens, pigs -- I loved living on the farm in Texas. Someday I hope I have a little farm of my own. :)
6. Going to the temple.
7. Being in 'lub.'
8. The occassional lazy day. (Today!) And since I can only have 8, I'll add thunderstorms and rainy days to #8, too. =)
8 things I want to do before I die
(not necessarily in order of importance- except for #1!)
1. Raise a family.
2. Visit Europe.
3. Go on a mission with Jared.
4. Start up a small business. (One that I can still run with kids.)
5. Go to Mexico/Mexico City with Jared. And go to the temple there.
6. Own our own land, and have a horse or two and chickens, and maybe a cow. Or a pig. Hm...
7. Visit New York and see a Broadway show, and go to the temple there.
8. Visit New Zealand. And, you guessed it, go to the temple there.
8 things I've learned in my life thus far
1. Live in the present - not the past or future. (Make goals for the future, but don't stress about it. Keep your memories from the past, but don't live in it.)
2. Don't be spontaneous (aka stupid) with your money - be smart and make a budget.
3. Eat healthy and you'll feel better, but junk food every now and again isn't going to kill you. Not quickly, at least. =D
4. It's easy to stay in your own little shell, but connecting to and with people is much more rewarding in the long run.
5. It will never do any bad to smile at someone. At the very least, it'll make you feel better.
6. Life is much more happy and worthwhile if you think optimistically.
7. You'll never regret going to the temple, even if it means dropping other plans or changing your schedule.
8. Take pictures and document your life. Your kids and grandkids and their kids and grandkids will be thankful.
8 places I'd love to visit
I already sort of covered this, but here's a longer list--
1. New Zealand
2. Mexico/Mexico City
3. England
4. New York
5. France
6. Islands, in general.
7. Italy
8. Spain
8 things I currently need or want
1. I need: 72-hour emergency kit and food storage
2. I want: Bread machine... ha ha.
3. I want: A better laptop.
4. I want/need: A job where I feel like I am getting paid a fair amount of money for the work I am asked to do...
5. I need: To clean our apartment.
6. I want: The USB cord to our camera so we can post the pictures and videos from Hawaii!
7. I need: To get my paycheck so we can actually afford the next tuition payment.
8. I want: The warm weather back. :) Actually, I'm enjoying the brisk chill right now, but I just know it's going to get worse... which sort of ruins it for me.
Sidenote: Jared and I started dating when it was freezing cold outside, so I have to admit that this weather brings back a lot of happy memories.
And I don't know enough people on Blogger to tag, so I will just give you, whoever is reading this, the permission to say you were tagged by me (if you really want to fill this survey out too.)
PS - It's our two-month wedding anniversary today!
PPS - I ordered the USB cord for my camera from eBay a couple days ago, so we should be posting pictures and videos shortly!
PPPS - One recent evening Jared and I randomly heard this weird alien-ship-like noise outside of our apartment (sort of like someone was twirling a long wire around really fast.. does that make sense?) and we both looked at eachother wide-eyed, saying (without words) What IS that????? And then the sound got closer and louder, and I started getting real scared, but at that VERY moment.... .....We both suddenly realized that it was an ambulance siren, as an ambulance was driving past our apartment complex.
I mention that because I just got freaked out by alien-ship sound again. I never learn.
I love reading your blog! It always seems to make me smile! You two sound like you are doing great! Keep the posts coming! :)
