It's a boy!!

We can finally stop calling the baby IT and start calling 'it' HIM! Time to celebrate. :) I actually had the fear (before the ultrasound) that the umbilical cord would be 'in the way' and we wouldn't be able to figure out the gender because of it. Turns out the cord WAS between the legs, but after some poking and prodding, they were finally able to get the baby in a position where we could see the parts. And lo and behold, it's a boy! We both thought that it would be a boy, so we felt pretty proud of our psychic abilities. The final poll results were 17 for Girl and 6 for Boy (2 of which were our votes, which means it was really more like 17 Girl and 4 Boy). So most of you are horrible psychics...... sorry, the truth hurts, I know.

We are nowhere close to having a name picked out for him. I almost doubt we'll even know what to name him when he arrives! Boys names are hard, yo.

Oh, also, here is the ultrasound video -- apparently he was being a 'little rascal' (what the doctor called him) and wouldn't move into favorable positions for a profile view, etc., but I still like some of the cute moments we captured anyway.

Another interesting tidbit -- the lady said the he is measuring at 19 weeks 4 days, which basically puts him back to the original due date of June 15th. Of course, ultrasounds aren't perfect indicators of how far along the baby really is, but I'd actually rather expect the due date later rather than earlier to help me from going crazy if he's overdue! (Plus, I'd love to avoid having to be induced if possible.) Anyway, enjoy!
